Abingdon Clinics' #1-#5 Participant Feedback

____________________________________

"This was an excellent clinic for me, because it focused on the basics. I liked Brian's positive teaching skills. The facilities were perfect and the stock was great. I got more than my $ worth and the clinic exceeded my expectations. Our practice sessions (at home) have more direction now." ***Shannon

"Brian took his time with me and my dogs and I was not pressured at all to hurry up and move on. Great one on one time. I’m always interested in attending an Abingdon Clinic and as always, this was a top notch learning clinic. The facilities just keep getting better and better. The smaller pen was ideal for starting a dog and for control. The big pen worked out wonderful for outrun, life and fetch lessons. The money was well spent and was a bargain. I came away from this clinic with a lot of confidence and looking forward to more. I feel like a whole new world has opened up to me. " ***Kathy

"Brian's easy going manner about things and attitude of not getting upset or frustrated with the dog kept things positive. We gained a lot of ideas about what to practice at home with our dog as well as the type of stock to work with for her level of training. We are excited to work at home for few months before returning for more training. The clinic, facilities and overall experience was great. Everyone was great! Snacks and lunch were a great idea." ***Jana & Tim

"More than appreciative of Brian’s willingness to include and encourage us "outsiders" (unusual herding breeds.) I got a better understanding of exactly what type of "yard work" is necessary and why it is so vital. I honestly didn’t know quite what to expect, but rank the overall clinic a 7 of 10 and the facilities an 8 of 10. It would have been helpful to receive some more logistical information upon arrival. Overall, it was a very beneficial and, on some levels painful experience!" *** Beckie

"It was a real asset to the clinic to have a "mixed bag" of breeds, ages, interest and skill levels on the part of the dogs. Brian consistently does a really great clinic, well worth the bargain price. The addition of the sign-in board for running order worked really well. I’m looking forward to honing the new skills that we learned and progressing towards a more solid dog/handler team. I am also looking forward to watching the video that was taken so that I can actually see what I was doing. As usual, I was really happy with the clinic - it was a lot of fun, and Brian does such a nice job with both dog and handler - I think everyone had a good experience." *** Ruth

"Even though I only got to spend a couple of hours, the clinic was well worth the money. I loved the settings. Working the sheep was fun, it was good to learn about different stock. It was obvious that a lot of thought and effort went into the clinic." *** Gabbie

"I learned the importance of yard work. Clinic information was very useful and exceeded my expectations!" *** Vicki

"Brian was very patient in explaining what he was doing and spent quality time with everyone. The facilities are great, I'm looking forward to future clinics. These clinics are perfect, this clinic is a 10+ for me!" *** Kathy

"This clinic rated a 10!! I would highly recommend Brian to my other herding friends. He has a no-nonsense, not rocket science approach. The clinic exceeded my expectation." *** Dick

"The clinic was great. This is our second clinic. Brian really breaks everything down and applies it to your situation and your dog. We would be interested in future clinics." *** Matt & Aubrie

"On par with the best clinics I've ever been to, exceeded my expectations. I loved that he made it easy to understand his concepts. Price was affordable for us." *** Cindy

"I thoroughly enjoyed the clinic. I always get confused on directions, the hint "Time Goes Bye" makes it easy to remember Bye is clockwise."*** Gene

"It was great that everyone was given lots of time and encouragement, regardless of the dog's interest and ability. It was great to see the pups turn it on by the end of the clinic..... I feel that a lot of time, effort and thought went into the clinic, from our individual packets to making sure there was water for the dogs and the price was very reasonable." *** Gabbie

"I thought it was awesome that one of the agility border collies who had never even been around stock was herding like a pro by the end of the day. Brian used him quite a bit in the afternoon to show the less interested dogs what to do. Any of the dogs that showed interest in the stock were doing a good imitation of a well started stock dog at clinic's end. Brian made it look really easy, then showed us how to do it. Excellent instructor!" *** Deb

"Was especially pleased being able to see how a "young" pup would be started. Yes, I would be interested in attending another clinic. On a scale of 1-5, 5 being best this was a 4 :)" *** Shannon
