Our Red Border Collie puppies share bloodlines with Abingdon Ranch's Lonerider Nan, one of the top two year olds at the Lonestar Futurity, Nan then went on to place third at the World Cow Dog  Championship at three. Nan was a multi ASCA Trial champion, acheived her ASCA Working Trial Champion, qualified for the USBCHA National Finals numerous times and won 10 Trial Championship buckles.  Nan was a red slick ABCA Border Collie.

 Basin Border Collies' puppies share bloodlines with Abingdon Ranch's multiple ACSA Trial Champion, ASCA Working Trial Champion and two time USBCHA National Finals Qualifer Thong, a red rough ABCA Border Collie.

Basin Border Collies' puppies are linebred to Abingdon Ranch's Rojo, 1990 Reserve North American Working Trial Champion, Idaho State Working Trial Champion and one of the top money earning border collies.  Rojo was a red rough ABCA Border Collie.

 Basin Border Collies' puppies share bloodlines with Pat Browning's Dub.  Western Cattle Dog Association's Reserve Champion at the 2008 Winnemucca Ranch Hand Rodeo and Cattle Dog Trial. Dub is a red tri rough ABCA Border Collie.
  

 

• Breed for good temperament and then socialize our puppies.

Basin Border Collies' puppies are handled daily from birth, learning to bond with and want to please people.     

Basin Border Collies' six week old puppies are started housebreaking and crate training.
Basin Border Collies' puppies are started on basic obedience training at about 8-10 weeks.  
At 12-16 weeks, our Red Border Collie puppies are introduced to stock.    

Thirteen week old BBC Cedar (Autumn Nip X Spice) working broke sheep at Ambrose McAuliffe's Fort Klamath ranch for a Klamath Stock Dog Association workday. Cedar has joined Infinity on Mueller's Canadian Ranch. Congratulations to Wayne & Lyn Mueller on their purchase of BBC Cedar.   

•  Strive for good form to function, durable working conformation rather than AKC type standards.                                                                                                 

Basin Border Collies guarantees eyes and hips on our Border Collie puppies until they are old enough to test.
All of our pups come with a normal result CERF exam. 

•     We encourage placement of our Red Border Collie puppies showing natural working instincts into working homes.  

BBC has dogs on working cattle ranches in Oregon, Washington, California, Nevada, Nebraska, Mississippi, Texas and in Canada.


Several of these ranches have been impressed enough by their first purchase to come back to Basin Border Collies for a second pup.
